MISSION AND EVANGELISM
Committed to reaching out to everyone with the good news of salvation by promoting Bible study groups and intercessional prayer teams for this purpose.
EDUCATION
Our church-founded schools should exhibit a strong and deeply rooted Christian character. Our schools shall continue to promote values and virtues that reflect the Christian heritage.
HEALTH AND SANITATION
We love to see our people well-nourished. It is said, “a healthy mind in a healthy body.” We promote health programmes throughout the Diocese.
DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES
Viverra maecenas accumsan lacus vel. Risus ultricies tristique nulla aliquet enim tortor. Nam aliquam sem et tortor consequat id porta nibh
WELLBEING OF OUR CHRISTIANS
Everyone should be able to thrive, not just to survive. Poverty and hunger are life threatening and cannot be ignored.
HUMAN RESOURCE DEV'T
Training staff in theology and other professional courses with a view to equipping them better for their calling is a serious concern of the Diocese
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
God created the earth and gave the task of caring for it to man. This care, identified as “subduing” (Gen. 1.28) in the Bible, means “responsible stewardship.” As stewards, human beings need to recognise that the environment does not belong to them but is a gift entrusted to them, which demands responsibility in action. Because of their privileged position in creation, human beings have a responsibility to be guardians of this creation and to ensure its proper use and protection. What do we do and see now? Malicious destruction and misuse of the environment, which is our very own habitat! We are stewards of all that has been given, and we should express this by simply loving God’s creation and not abusing it. Yet we have a duty to hand over the earth to future generations so that they too, in turn, will be able to inhabit it worthily and continue to live on it.
As a diocese, we shall promote responsible care of the environment. We shall support forestation, afforestation, reforestation, and responsible use of water catchment areas and will discourage irresponsible destruction of the environment.
